NPR Music and WNYC will video webcast a surprise concert from acclaimed indie folk band Iron and Wine tonight at 8PM (ET) at www.npr.org/music and www.wnyc.org/thegreenespace This will be Iron and Wine’s first live performance of its forthcoming album “Kiss Each Other Clean.”
The concert was just announced during an interview with Sam Beam on WNYC’s, and is taking place at the station’s street-level broadcast and performance venue, The Greene Space. Tickets (extremely limited) are on sale now for $25 at www.wnyc.org/thegreenespace
The intimate show, hosted by John Schaefer of Soundcheck, and accompanying live stream, is the first opportunity to hear the album before its release on January 25. “Kiss Each Other Clean” is the first studio album from Beam in more than three years – and already receiving attention for its full-band, rich sound.
