Some of us didn't grow up on farms, with open fields, holding secrets yet unknown, nor the beauty in the love of a guiding hand. It took me all my short life to find something like this, something that put me there, in a place of experience, in all its majesty and pain. When things are tense and emotion clouds my vision Trapeze Swinger starts up slowly in my mind, bringing me back to things that I felt years ago, and the awe of childhood is the closest thing to purity we can now achieve.

So in hopes that he at least knows this little thing, I thank Sam for helping me stay calm in the storm of life... not to mention he makes a guitar cry. Never underestimate the power of the musician, for even preachers sing, borrowing from the unity of sound and harmony that human emotion creates within us. Seriously who couldn't benifit from listening to some Iron and Wine every now and again, they are diverse enough to keep you expectant and set up whatever mood you find your thoughts drawn to. I find though that the invocation of thought, even if its a beautiful thought, envokes fear in the common person, be it fear of change, or of rememberance. For isn't that half of life, seekng new, better experiences to help us forget the pain of the past. All one needs do, is embrace the thought, as hard as it my seem, and maybe listen to some Iron and Wine, it couldn't possibly hurt, if anything you may find a whole new perspective on old problems, I did.
